2010 - July 3 (Day 18) Tok to Valdez

Did I say we would probably go to Fairbanks today? Wrong! We decided to head south from Tok to Valdez, 256 miles. Got a pretty late start after washing the car and the camper. We hit rain about 30 miles out of Tok and it lasted pretty much all day! We decided to stay in Valdez two nights and see a few sites, so tomorrow's post should be more interesting.

We stopped at one of the Wrangell - St Elias National Park Visitor Centers. The park is HUGE. It's 4 times the size of Yellowstone. There's a glacier in the park that's the size of Rhode Island! There are only two roads into the interior of the park and they're pretty bad. We decided not to take the chance.

Should be able, but can't pick up their WiFi from the camper, so I'm in the office posting today's blog entry. What a PITA!
